Silo Pharma is a three-employee developmental-stage biopharma that spent the first half of the year proving it can stay listed and funded, not that it can put a drug into humans. The lead program, SPC-15, remains a preclinical intranasal candidate for post-traumatic stress and related anxiety, still short of an investigational new drug filing. A one-for-fifteen reverse split in early June restored Nasdaq bid-price compliance after a long stretch below a dollar, and a July private placement through H.C. Wainwright brought in four million of gross proceeds at a mid-six-dollar print. That sequence is survival finance. It is not clinical progress, and the market has already marked the residual claim accordingly.
The mid-year balance sheet still looks liquid relative to a capitalization that now sits below cash, but the mix tells on the strategy. Cash and short-term investments funded working capital of about $5 million, while crypto holdings had already been written down and mostly exited. License-fee revenue for the first half was a token $18 thousand and then stopped after a canceled sublicense left a seven-hundred-thousand contingently returnable fee on the books. First-half research spending held near the year-ago run-rate even as a stock-paid software purchase for an AI-agent subsidiary was pushed through that line. The company is burning a preclinical CNS budget while simultaneously buying software, staking tokens, and issuing equity to advisors.
The investment debate is whether SPC-15 can still earn an option premium after the license attrition, the reverse split, and the July warrant stack, or whether the cash is simply a runway that serial dilution keeps resetting. Shares last changed hands near $1.84 against a mid-year cash-and-paper pile that already exceeded the entire equity value, and that was before counting the July raise. The next several quarters resolve a single question: does management file and open a first-in-human study, or does the equity remain a listed shell that finances itself by selling stock into a shrinking bid?
