Eightco Holdings (ORBS): A Worldcoin Treasury Wrapped Around a Broken Lender

Eightco Holdings is no longer an inventory-finance company in any economic sense. It is a listed wrapper that sold a flood of new shares to assemble a Worldcoin-heavy digital treasury and a pair of private technology stakes, then watched the operating business that still prints the revenue line collapse under a single-customer default. The investment debate is whether that wrapper is a scarce public door into OpenAI and Worldcoin, or a dilution vehicle whose marks sit on an illiquid special-purpose vehicle and a token that has already inflicted a nine-figure paper loss.

The second-quarter profit was a mark, not a franchise. Revenue fell to about $2 million after the customer that supplied nearly all sales stopped being bankable. Management reserved a $5 million receivable tied to unauthorized inventory disposition. Digital-asset fair-value swings flipped the quarter to an $18 million profit. The first half still lost $58 million. Share count more than doubled to about 430 million as an at-the-market program raised $218 million. That capital bought the treasury. It also is the reason the equity now has to clear a much larger denominator before any OpenAI or token recovery shows up per share.

A mid-September holdings update put the basket at about $380 million. The mix includes an indirect OpenAI stake, a Beast Industries check, roughly 302 million Worldcoin tokens, and ether. Cash and stablecoins were about $120 million. The same window included a $125 million repurchase authorization that already retired more than 26 million shares. Nasdaq still has the stock on a bid-price clock after a stretch of closes below one dollar. Does the market keep paying a premium to a self-marked basket while the listing and the share count remain unresolved?
