Forum Markets (FRMM): A Treasury Shell That Bought Its Way Into Real Assets

Forum Markets is best understood as a digital asset treasury vehicle that has spent 2026 converting a large cash windfall into a small but growing portfolio of yield generating real assets, and the investment case now rests on whether that conversion can produce recurring income before the cash runs out. The second quarter was the first full print of the new model, with all revenue coming from aircraft engine rental and a continuing operations loss driven by unrealized losses on a shrinking ETH position and elevated professional fees.

The quarter's defining event was not the P and L. The company closed its fourth engine in mid July, a CFM56-7B22 bought from Aero Engine Solutions for about $11.7 million and placed on lease to a major airline the same day. A fifth engine under the same template was signed a week later, bringing the aviation book to five leased powerplants that generate contracted monthly cash flow against a cost base that is almost entirely depreciation.

The counterweight is the Zippy make whole, a guaranteed put on retained shares that cost the company $3.2 million in the second quarter alone, with two more settlement dates still ahead. The forward question is whether the engine pipeline, the AI chip bridge loans, and the Zippy manufactured home book can scale assets under management toward the revised year end range, and whether the repurchase program and special committee can convert the remaining cash into equity value rather than a slower burn.
