Advanced Energy Industries (AEIS) occupies the structural intersection of two of the most durable capital expenditure cycles of the decade: semiconductor fabrication expansion and hyperscale data center buildout for artificial intelligence workloads. The company designs and manufactures precision power conversion products that enable plasma etch and deposition processes in semiconductor tools and deliver high-density, high-efficiency power to AI server racks. Both end markets are compounding, and AEIS has positioned itself to capture revenue in both simultaneously.

Following a sharp late-August pullback, the stock now trades near $281 per share. That reset has compressed what had been a rich multiple to a level more defensible on forward earnings, though the business itself remains in a strong growth phase. Data center computing revenue more than doubled in fiscal 2025. First-half 2026 revenue accelerated by roughly 28 percent year over year. The question for investors is whether the multiple expansion that accompanied the AI-driven re-rating has been fully digested by the recent decline.
