Skillful Craftsman Education Technology (EDTK): A Listed Shell That Swallowed Its Legacy and Sold It Back

Skillful Craftsman Education Technology is no longer the company its name describes. The Shenzhen-based Cayman FPI that built a vocational-training variable interest entity in 2019 now generates essentially no revenue, holds a single non-cash asset, and has just changed hands through a super-voting preference share issue. The argument in one line: the stock is a small asset sale dressed in a Nasdaq ticker, and the market cap sits above that asset by a factor that only works if the new owner intends to use the listing.

The numbers frame the paradox. The filing records fiscal 2026 revenue of $14,133. Against that sits a net loss of $8.5 million, and the balance sheet is dominated by a long-term investment in an unrelated fishery company. The share price near $0.95 implies a market value in the low tens of millions. The gap is the whole story, and it is a story about control, not operations. This is a company that has sold its business, retained its ticker, and handed the keys to a new owner, all within a single fiscal year.
